Swimming in Knowledge. 2005. 39” x 74” x 6”
Cast Forton with acrylic paint and varnish, reinforced with fiberglass and stainless steel. One of the four different wall sculptures made for libraries in Fort Lauderdale.

The motifs used for the Pompano Beach Branch Library emphasize nature combined with human knowledge with access to information. Pompano fish, the city emblem, are full of life and jumping out of a sea of letters and numbers -- potential ideas waiting to be formed.

This wall  sculpture was part of a commission from Broward County Public Art and Design for a project encompassing four branch libraries in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Each sculpture was created in response to community, outreach meetings occurred at each of the four  neighborhoods.
