Leaves of Knowledge. 2005. 36” x 72” x 7”
Cast Forton with acrylic paint and varnish, reinforced with fiberglass and stainless steel.

The images used for the Margate Catherine Young Branch Library are flora connected with human learning, open-ness, and growth. Leaves of pages and plants become one with hands finding the way towards knowledge.

This wall relief sculpture was part of a commission from Broward County Public Art and Design for a project encompassing four branch libraries in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Each sculpture was created in response to a community outreach meeting, which occurred at each of the four different neighborhoods.
