Nest Builder.  2010.  Cast stone.  6’ x 32” x 22”
Commissioned by City of Tampa Public Art Program for Seminole Garden Center, 5850 N. Central Ave., Tampa, Florida.

A bird-like figure is making a home in a nest perched on a pillar that incorporates images of bricks, windows, roofs, columns, porches, saws, hammers and nails – recurring symbols representing architectural elements of the adjacent Garden Center building and of the houses and building tools found in the historic neighborhood where the sculpture is located.

Watch the process of making the sculpture in a two-minute video.
