Recalling the profile of Mt. Mansfield in her childhood home of Stowe, Vermont, Fry’s sculpture melds the mountain forms of Korea and Vermont’s Green Mountains with flowers, cookies, and faces. MountainHead was exhibited at Hangaram Art Museum in Seoul for Sculpture Festa 2012. Four bronze casts of MountainHead are to be made in different heights, to be arranged as a mountain landscape reflecting the surrounding environment of the International Sculpture Park, Songchu Art Valley, Korea. Intended to be touched, climbed or reclined upon, the four sculptures together would measure 6 x 20 x 20 feet.
